[ The Challenge ]

Varanasi's ghats, temples and narrow sacred lanes are difficult for pilgrims and travelers to explore remotely, and traditional maps can't capture the texture of walking through the city's oldest quarters.

[ Our Solution ]

A Flutter app that stitches ultra-high-quality 360° video into gesture-navigable walks: swipe to move, tilt to look around, with live GPS tracking layered in so people can plan a real visit or take the journey entirely from home.

[ The Outcome ]

The app covers 11 curated sacred routes across Varanasi, from Kashi Vishwanath to Dashashwamedh Ghat, with adaptive streaming and offline caching so a session doesn't cut out mid-walk. The wider Behtar Way initiative was named a Top 5 Finalist in Toyota's Sustainable Cities Challenge for Varanasi.
